Dirti - Motocross Event Booking Platform

Dirti is the UK's one-stop motocross event booking platform, designed and built from the ground up by Fastrak Creative. Riders find tracks, book events and pay online in one place. Organisers list events, take card payments and keep their communities updated. We delivered UX/UI design, custom web application development, secure online payments and automated email notifications. The result is a single platform where riders "Find. Book. Ride."

Dirti is a UK motocross platform that brings riders, tracks, clubs and event organisers together. It serves adult riders, parents booking for youth riders, and the organisers and track owners who run practice days, races and championships across the country.

The motocross community needed a refresh, so Dirti came to Fastrak Creative with a clear frustration: entering an event meant hopping between different organiser websites, booking forms and payment methods. As specialists in motocross and off-road web development, we understood the problem.

01

The objectives were

  • Create one central place to find and book motocross events in the UK
  • Let riders manage every booking, adult and youth, from a single account
  • Give organisers a simple way to list tracks, take payments and update their riders
  • Reduce admin with automated confirmations and reminders

Booking a motocross event in the UK has long been fragmented. Every organiser ran entries differently: some through their own websites, some through third-party booking pages, others through social media posts and bank transfers. For riders, that meant a new process, a new login and a new payment method for almost every track.

02

What issues did we find with the current Motocross event booking systems?

  • No central event calendar. Riders couldn't see what was on, where and when without checking dozens of separate pages.
  • Inconsistent booking journeys. Each organiser's page loaded differently, asked for different details and handled payments in its own way.
  • Families booking multiple riders. Parents entering themselves and a youth rider often had to complete separate bookings.
  • Scattered track information. Addresses, insurance requirements and opening times were hard to find and often out of date.
  • Organiser admin. Clubs and track owners spent time chasing payments, answering repeat questions and posting updates across several channels.

The project needed a single, reliable online event registration system that worked for riders on their phones at the track and for organisers managing busy race weekends.

What did we do?

We designed and built Dirti as a custom web application rather than bending an off-the-shelf booking plugin to fit. Motocross bookings have specific needs, such as youth riders, race classes, track rules and insurance requirements. A bespoke platform let us model those properly from day one.

Designing a track search page, a easy to use, clear and accurate directory for UK motocross tracks:

A platform built around two audiences. The UX was planned around two distinct journeys. Riders need to find an event, book in seconds and get on with their weekend. Organisers need simple tools to publish events, manage entries and talk to their community. Each user type has its own dashboard, so neither journey gets in the way of the other.

One account, many riders. We built a rider membership system where a single account can hold multiple rider profiles. A parent can book themselves and a youth rider onto the same event in one checkout, then see every upcoming and past booking in one place.

Secure online payments. Payment is taken directly through the website at the point of booking, so organisers no longer chase bank transfers or cash on the day.

Development of a news feed page, we linked socials and Dirt Hub, a motocross news outlet, to Dirti - providing current moto news:

Automated communication. Every booking triggers an email confirmation, followed by automated reminders as the event approaches. This reduces no-shows and repeat questions.

Organiser self-service. Clubs and track owners can claim their track, list events for free, set pricing, and post news, photos and updates to their community without needing our help.

Built for the track, not just the desk. The front end is fully responsive and fast on mobile data, because many riders book from the van or the paddock.

Key area's of the development process

  1. Discovery and planning. We mapped how entries currently worked across different organisers. That covered rider details, youth requirements, race classes, insurance and payment, and showed what the platform had to handle as standard.
  2. UX/UI design. We designed separate rider and organiser journeys, prioritising a booking flow that works one-handed on a phone at the track.
  3. Development and integrations. We built the custom web application, multi-rider accounts, payment checkout and automated email notifications. The organiser tools let tracks manage their own listings.
  4. Testing and launch. We tested real booking scenarios, including adult and youth riders on one order, closed registrations and reminder timing, before launch.
  5. Ongoing support. Fastrak continues to develop Dirti, adding new features such as clubs, championships and memberships as the platform grows.

Dirti replaced a scattered, organiser-by-organiser booking process with one central platform for UK motocross.

For riders

  • One account and membership for every track and event, adult and youth
  • A clear, organised calendar of upcoming events, plus a history of past bookings
  • Instant email confirmations and timely reminders before each event
  • All track details, from address to insurance and opening times, in one place

For organisers

  • An easy, clear place to publish events, set pricing and take payments online
  • A direct channel to update their community with news, photos and changes
  • Less admin chasing payments and answering the same questions
