John Lee Motorcycles: A Headless Shopify Build

Overview

Fastrak Creative designed and built a new headless Shopify website for John Lee Motorcycles, connecting it to eBay, distributor stock and manufacturer parts catalogues. Work began in 2025, and we continue to manage products and email marketing for the business.

John Lee Motorcycles is a family-run dealer in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, trading since 1964. It sells new and used trials, enduro and motocross bikes, with over 200 bikes in stock, alongside rider kit, parts and workshop services. 

Design From the Ground Up

John Lee Motorcycles received a complete UI/UX overhaul, with every part of the front end designed from scratch.

In the initial phase, we produced mock-ups for every page so John Lee Motorcycles could see and shape the whole site before any build began. The new design puts the bikes first, with clear routes into new bikes, the used showroom, rider kit, parts and the workshop. It reflects a long-established, trusted dealer while feeling modern and easy to use on any device.

The Build

We built the site as a headless Shopify store: a fully custom front end, built from scratch, running on Shopify's back end. This gives John Lee Motorcycles a fast, flexible site without losing the reliability of Shopify behind the scenes.

• Easy stock management — John Lee Motorcycles manages stock simply through Shopify, with changes flowing straight through to the site.
• Bikes as classified ads — because John Lee Motorcycles sells motorcycles, not just parts and kit, we adapted Shopify to list bikes as classified ads. Each listing shows the key details riders look for, such as year, hours or mileage, condition and price, with finance options and an easy route to enquire.

Integrations

We connected the site to the platforms and suppliers John Lee Motorcycles relies on, cutting out repeat admin and keeping stock accurate everywhere.

• eBay Pro Motors integration — a full integration syncs John Lee Motorcycles' stock to eBay Pro Motors. Bikes are uploaded once and distributed across multiple platforms automatically, saving hours of duplicate listing work.
• OEM Parts Finder — we built an OEM product finder for Beta, KTM and Sherco motorcycles, so riders can quickly find the right genuine parts for their bike.
• StockSync — we set up StockSync so distributor stock updates automatically, keeping product availability accurate without manual checks.

SEO & AI Search

The site is fully SEO optimised and built to be found in AI search as well as traditional search engines. Clear page structure, descriptive listings and well-organised content help John Lee Motorcycles' bikes and products appear when riders search, whether on Google or through AI assistants.
